THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOSH is a brutally honest and addictive tale, centered around the life of actor/comedian Joshua Rivedal, a small town Jersey boy, as he follows his dreams to Hollywood despite the great obstacle of his life: the tempestuous relationship with his pious and abusive father. This brilliant and charming coming of age tale chronicles Joshua's early religious upbringing and eventual escape from home, including an outrageously funny look into his starring roles in not one but two reality TV shows, and ending with a final showdown between himself and his father.
This poignant one-man biopic, written and performed by Joshua Rivedal, features twelve songs and over thirty brilliant characters including Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Moms Mabley, a gaggle of flamboyant gay men, and a quick visit from the King himself...Elvis Presley.
