Event
Trio Navarro
Composer Gyorgi Catoire (1861-1926), though little-known outside of his native Russia, is regarded as the father of Russian modernism. His highly personal and original style is a synthesis of Russian, German and French influences, among them Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Cesar Franck, Debussy and Richard Wagner. Trio Navarro, SSU Artists in Residence, will perform Catoire's F Minor Piano Trio of 1900, along with works by Max Bruch and Gaspar Cassado.
