A Crushing Love follows the filmmaker as she sets out the answer to how women engaged in consequential social justice activism can also engage in consequential motherhood. In addition, the now grown children of these activist women talk about what it was like having a mother who worked tirelessly for their communities. Activists profiled are: Martha Cotera, Dolores Huerta, Elizabeth âBetitaâ Martinez, Alicia Escalante and Cherrie Moraga.
