Hedwig Dances Two-Day Intensive at the Chicago Cultural Center
Hedwig Dances, the dance company-in-residence at the Chicago Cultural Center, presents a two-day modern dance intensive taught by Artistic Director Jan Bartoszek in the dance studio at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington (at Michigan Avenue) on Wednesday, January 20 and Friday, January 22, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop begins with a modern dance technique class followed by a workshop in movement development. Artistic Director Jan Bartoszek will work with participants on developing movement studies for her new dance theater piece, "Dance of Forgotten Steps," delving into the relationship between memory and identity. The workshop is open to professional and pre-professional dancers.
