Oosha Boom's Burlesque Idol

So you couldn't make the cut on "American Idol." Don't be discouraged. There is still somewhere to show off your talents.

On December 17, 2009, National Pastime Theater and Oosha Boom Burlesk will present the first ever, not to be missed, opportunity of a lifetime-- "BURLESK IDOL."

If you have ever wanted to perform in Burlesque--the classy, classic art of striptease--here is your chance to break in.

On December 17 at 10:30pm, National Pastime Theater at 4139 N. Broadway in Chicago will present OOSHA BOOM'S BURLESK IDOL, an evening of professional and aspiring Striptease Starlets.

During the evening 12 contestants will each have 4 minutes to show their shimmy to a panel of expert celebrity judges including WCIU's Aly Bockler, local stage, nightclub and film personality Danny Rhodes and one lucky audience member.

In addition, 4 of Chicago's most exciting professional peelers will be there to show how it is done including Kitty Victorian, Cruel Valentine, Miss Kay and the incomparable Oosha Boom.

The winner will receive fabulous pasties and prizes, $25 cash and a guaranteed paid booking for an upcoming show as well as the title of "Chicago's Best New Ecdysiast."

You must be over 18 to take part and all ages, races, sizes and shapes are encouraged to participate. Those of the male persuasion are also invited but they too will be required to perform in pasties and g-string.
