Many of the the songs were inspired by local events... Tractor State of Mind describes in part an encounter with a slow moving tractor in Hawley, MA; Down The River, a tragicomical response to losing a Hawley camp to Tropical Storm Irene; The Sunderland Bridge Softshoe features the iron bridge over the Connecticut River; and Somewhere Down the Road could be set in Greenfield, or one of many "old train towns" in the valley. The concert is a unique once in a lifetime chance to hear this fine group of musicians together and the show will feature many surprises beyond the CD selections.
