INDIE SPOT: Shooting A Short Over A Weekend
 Hosted by Joe Gruberman

Short film competitions have become very popular in recent years. Filmmakers and festival directors alike love the genre. It affords adhoc teams of creative individuals the opportunity to work together on projects that are fun, educational and rewarding.

It's entirely possible to shoot and even edit an entire short film in a single weekend, but why would you want to? Low budgets and time constraints are two good reasons. This month's session will be a panel discussion with experienced filmmakers who have achieved success making short movies in
even shorter timeframes. Tips and tricks and shorts-friendly competitions will be among the topics we'll cover.

The Phoenix Film Center is located at 1700 N. 7th Ave. It's north of I-10 on the west side of 7th Ave, just north of McDowell.
