Bronn and Katherine Journey Christmas Concert
Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater is proud to present a concert series by the incredible Bronn and Katherine Journey. We're honored they are performing at the Thumb. This is their 34th annual Christmas concert and their first performance at the Pacific Northwest's ~cozy home for the performing arts~ in beautiful Snohomish, Washington.

From the inspiring natural beauty of their Pacific Northwest home, the Journeys - Bronn, Katherine and the harp - bring music that is nothing short of glorious! The harp is often called "the instrument of angels," and Bronn's amazing versatility and skill on this ancient instrument, along with Katherine's radiant voice will transport you to the gates of heaven itself!

When first introduced to the idea of a harp and voice concert, many audiences may respond by asking, "The harp? Isn't that what cherubs play?" The answer in Bronn's case is, "Perhaps! But do cherubs play everything from classics to folk to Broadway?" Even though he's not a cherub, Bronn delivers a widely varied repertoire with wit and humor, while Katherine joins him in glorious song.

Through the quality of their performance, it soon becomes evident that both Bronn and Katherine are highly trained, classically educated musicians. Bronn holds a degree in Harp Performance from the University of Washington in Seattle. Katherine holds an undergraduate degree in Music Education from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA and a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

The Journeys' musical accomplishments are well known and appreciated both locally in the Pacific Northwest and nationwide. Their recent touring season logged 47,000 miles on their "harpmobile" and took them through 44 of the 48 contiguous states. Appreciative audiences throughout the country enthusiastically applauded their performances, and standing ovations were the rule rather than the exception!

Bronn's dazzling virtuosity and humorous approach to a classical instrument continue to make him a favorite with concertgoers. Classical, sacred, Broadway and popular tunes all flow effortlessly from the strings of his harp. Bronn has even played the national anthem at Seattle Seahawks and Sonics sporting events! Katherine's beautifully expressive interpretations of the songs she sings delight their audiences. And now, Bronn's harp music is frequently heard on satellite radio and TV easy listening channels for the enjoyment of all.

Don't miss Bronn and Katherine as they bring harp and voice -- the instruments of angels -- down to earth in a slightly nontraditional, wholly unexpected way. This is truly a concert experience everyone can enjoy.
