Cosy Sheridan and Ellis Paul
Cosy Sheridan has been called "one of the era's finest and most thoughtful singer/songwriters." She has played everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Philadelphia Folk Festival and is the winner of numerous songwriting awards. Her guitar work shinesa testament to years of honing her craftas does her voice: an instrument of warm shimmering timbre. Together with her partner TR Ritchie, an award-winning songwriter himself, this is one of the most entertaining and intelligent touring acts on the folk concert circuit.
Sharing the bill with Cosy is Ellis Paul, one of the leading voices in American songwriting. He was a principle leader in the wave of singer/songwriters that emerged from the Boston folk scene, creating a movement that revitalized the national acoustic circuit with an urban, literate, folk pop style that helped renew interest in the genre in the 1990s. His charismatic, personally authentic performance style has influenced a generation of artists away from the artifice of pop, and closer towards the realness of folk.
