Jazz at The Green Room: Andy Voelker Trio

Saxman Andy Voelker is a busy guy. In addition to weekly residencies at Barcelona in Washington Square, Brookline and Devlin's in Brighton, Andy teaches music in Milton, Framingham and Lowell, and if you want to talk cars or fishing he probably has a thing or two to say too. He's got a fantastic tone and is accompanied by some of Boston's top bassists and drummers in a classic saxophone trio format. For this show he'll be playing with two ubiquitous characters from the local scene, bassist Jef Charland and drummer Luther Gray. The trio will be drawing on their years of experience together to perform both original compositions and free improvisations.
