Guestlisted presents: Have You Ever Done Something Awesome w/ Hallelujah The Hills/Ruby Rose Fox/When Particles Colllide/Nate Leavitt
Jed Gottlieb's BOSTON HERALD GUESTLISTED BLOG hosts a bash with awesome local artists.
HALLELUJAH THE HILLS Hallelujah the Hills is an American indie rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 2005 by Ryan Walsh. They have been hailed by the Boston Phoenix as "one of Boston's most prized pop possessions", received a 3 1/2 star review for their debut in Rolling Stone Magazine, and have been praised by Pitchfork Media as having "vivid lyrics," and a "knack for crafting fist-pumping anthems."
RUBY ROSE FOX Ruby Rose Fox is a songwriter and vocal powerhouse, whose genre bending lounge-pop style blends the best of today's female vocalists with a nostalgic quality that transcends today's musical landscape. She's one part Leonard Cohen, one part Patti Smith, one part Roy Orbison, and all Ruby Rose Fox.
WHEN PARTICLES COLLIDE Sasha and Chris met in Bangor Maine during a 2010 local production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The music of When Particles Collide includes Southern Rock choruses, New Wave a la Blondie vocals, lightning speed Green Day-esque drumming, classic Motown grooves and Queens of the Stone Age-style riffs.
NATE LEAVITT Nate Leavitt needs no more than 4 minutes to break your heart. Nate has been performing in the Boston music scene for a little over twenty years. While most of that time was spent with The Blizzard of 78, he now makes his time as a solo artist as well as with the bands Parlour Bells and Old Jack.
