Dan Gellert
Dan is one of the finest old-time musicians working today. Familiar with traditional styles of music from old recordings, he developed his own style of fiddle, banjo and voice. Dan's performances bring to life the spirit and atmosphere of old-time music as heard on old 78 rpm records. While Dan is playing, the audience gets the sense he had entered another world which combines all his influences, yet it is his powerful playfulness and improvisational sensibilities which make his style powerful and instantly recognizable. Dan Gellert is a commanding and uncompromising talent.
