My Soul Now Magnifies the Lord
The Southern Delaware Choral Society traditionally presents a concert at Christmas and in the Spring with two performances of each concert in a variety of Sussex County, Delaware venues. The 2009 Christmas Concert is "My Soul Now Magnifies the Lord" featuring the J.S. Bach "Magnificat in D Major" and Felix Mendelessohnn's "Magnificat" written when he was just 12 years old and inspired by Bach's composition. The program will also include Mendelessohn's "Christus" and six choruses and four solos from Handel's "Messiah".
The performances will be on Saturday, December 12th at 7pm at Eagles Nest Fellowship Church near Milton, DE and on Sunday, December 13th at 3pm at Woodbridge High School, Bridgeville, DE.
