La Orquesta El Vucko
Larry Vuckovich La Orquesta El Vucko, featuring the exciting rhythm team of two Latin masters: timbalero David Flores & conguero Hector Lugo perform an all Latin program at the Sound Room. This evening's concert will present classic Latin and jazz standards featuring a stellar cast of the most seasoned Latin jazz musicians, such as young master timbalero David Flores, conguero Hector Lugo, and veteran bassist John Wiitala. The repertoire will include special selections by Thelonious Monk in Latin style, as well as rare classic standards in bolero rhythm. Conguero Hector Lugo, possessing a beautiful romantic voice, will sing attractive Latin songs. The news of the revival of La Orquesta El Vucko has created a lot of positive buzz among the Bay Area jazz and Latin lovers.
