What could be more exciting than improvisation? Composing moment by moment, guided by ephemeral inspiration, with each performance unique. A Far Cry explores the theme with a bold new commission from Ljova, and welcomes perhaps the world's greatest classical improvisor, Robert Levin, to the stage for a performance of one of Mozart's Piano Concertos that will as it is every time be entirely unique!
Francesco Geminiani: Concerto Grosso in e, op. 3 no. 3 Ljova: Throw The Book (world premiere) Frederic Rzewski: Les Moutons de Panurge W. A. Mozart: Piano Concerto K 449 Perapaskaro, arr. Ljova: Turceasca
