Holani: Keola Beamer & Geoffrey Keezer, with Moanalani Beamer
Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Master Keola Beamer and Jazz Piano Virtuoso Geoffrey Keezer combine their artistic talents to create a new, evocative space where chords shimmer and harmonies interweave in unique and inspiring ways. Infused with the earthy tonality of ki-ho'alu (slack key guitar) and the Hawaiian ancient instruments and hula of Moanalani Beamer, and with the spatial openness of contemporary American jazz piano, the musicians create a compelling musical world that draws from the seemingly disparate influences of their own genres. They come together at "Holani" the Hawaiian mythical island among the stars, a source of life and inspiration.
