Catalyst 2009 presented by Los Angeles Movement Arts

Catalyst is Los Angeles Movement Arts' second show of the year. It was conceived as a platform for artists to push their boundaries and promote purposeful experimentation.

CATALYST features nine works by choreographers who took on this challenge: "Produce a piece that incorporates a non-dancer human being. This person must play a significant role in the piece."

What does this mean? What's a non-dancer? LAMA left these inquiries to the artist to answer. True to the saying, "necessity is the mother of invention," LAMA is proud to present the creations of:
