"Once Bitten"

Mark Kendall (Jim Carrey) is a witty, all-American high school student from suburbia. He has a great-looking girlfriend named Robin (Karen Kopins), two close buddies, Russ and Jamie, and a part-time job driving an ice cream truck. You might say that Marks life is almost perfect. That is, except for one pesky problemhes still a virgin.

The Countess (Lauren Hutton) is a gorgeous twentieth century vampire who happens to be just a few hundred years old. She lives in a fabulous mansion (where else?) and is attended to by a rather flamboyant servant named Sebastian (Cleavon Little). Along with the close friends with whom she has co-existed throughout the eons, the Countess leads an enviable life, except for the fact that she has a real problemin order to keep forever young, she needs to sip the blood of a young male virgina dying breed to be sure!

Mark encounters the Countess in a Hollywood night-cluband suddenly finds himself within a bat of an eyelash from eternal life.

Once Bitten, a Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. Production, is a camp comedy thriller set against the funny and frightening backdrop of contemporary Los Angeles, a place where anything can happen, and as this movie proves, certainly does. 35mm, 93 min, 1985.
