Brian French and Will Koomjian are Portland, Oregon based arborists by trade, who started an organization called Ascending the Giants in 2006. With the goal of aiding preservation efforts for champion trees, their mission is to showcase these specimens to increase knowledge of their existence and ecological importance. With stunning big tree cinematography, the action and danger assumed by Brian and Will to measure these trees is captured, but with greater emphasis upon the emotional connection of the trees.

Meninos do Morumbi is a performing arts school in Sao Paolo, Brazil that gives children from favelas (slums) hope for the future. The film depicts the various hardships faced in everyday favela life: violence, poverty, drug abuse, etc.  It also takes it back to the school and shows the positive influences students gain at the school.

The Houser / Haozous story is a journey exploring the incarceration of a people, growth brought on by freedom, and a familyâs personal expression of these experiences through art. Released as Prisoners of War, Sam and Blossom Haozousâ passed down oral traditions of the Apache people to their son Allan Houser â shared memories that molded his artwork, and in turn helped him become one of the 20th Centuryâs most important artists.
