A two-day festival of bluegrass and acoustic country music, with jamming, friendship, fun, and incredible music all under one roof - the beautiful Doubletree by Hilton - Dallas/Richardson!  Book your room reservation now through our website - www.LoneStarFest.org!

Featured performers include SUZY BOGGUSS (Friday night), the BOXCARS (Saturday), MARTY RAYBON & FULL CIRCLE (Saturday), GOLD HEART (both days), IN ACHORDANCE, the HERRINS, DUELING HEARTS, and TIGER ALLEY!

GRAMMY award winning, platinum-selling singer SUZY BOGGUSS, one of the most acclaimed female singers of the late 1980s and 1990s, will headline Lone Star Fest on Friday night.  Suzy, one of country music's most pristine and evocative vocalists, delivers a unique blend of country, folk, and acoustic music in a way that leaves audiences wanting more.

The BOXCARS, one of the hottest bands in bluegrass music (and 2013 GRAMMY nominee for Best Bluegrass Album), will take the stage at Lone Star Fest on Saturday.  Just a short time ago, the name "The Boxcars" meant nothing.  A few years later, the name is synonymous with the five guys that make up this ground breaking band.  They don't sound like anyone else, but yet they capture the excitement of the seminal bands that preceded them in the genre and combine it with cutting-edge sounds of modern bluegrass music.  The result is  well, magical.  There is no substitute for chemistry between band members, and these guys have it.

GRAMMY winner MARTY RAYBON, the voice of such classic hits as The Church on Cumberland Road, Next to You Sitting Next to Me, and Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart will take the stage with his bluegrass band Full Circle at Lone Star Fest on Saturday.  According to Gary LeVox, lead singer of superstar country group Rascal Flatts, Marty is "the greatest singer on the planet to this day!"  Throughout a musical career spanning nearly three decades, Marty Raybon has produced a remarkable list of accomplishments including multiple number one singles, top selling albums, IBMA, CMA, ACM, and GRAMMY awards along with scores of other accolades.

GOLD HEART, featuring the Gold sisters (Tori on mandolin, Jocey on guitar, and Shelby on fiddle) have earned great appreciation and respect from the bluegrass and acoustic community. Their award-winning instrumental ability and harmony-laden vocals are sweetly unique and rootsy.  The Gold sisters tour as a quintet with their father, Trent, on bass and Jared Lindsay on banjo.  Career highlights include an international tour of the United Kingdom, performances in 23 US states and multiple appearances in Canada.

Seating is VERY limited for this event, but we always encourage young people to come enjoy the music.  Kids 12 and under will be admitted free for GENERAL ADMISSION seating with their parent or guardian.  All reserved seats are reserved for the ticket holder, so if you have reserved seats and want your kids to sit with you, they need reserved seat tickets as well.  Parents can buy general admission seating and bring their kids, subject to space availability.

All ticket sales final; no refunds.  Proceeds from this event support the non-profit 501c3 Bluegrass Heritage Foundation.  The Foundation works to preserve and promote the heritage of bluegrass music in America, with a focus on North Texas.  The Foundation works to educate the public about this distinctly American form of music with roots in Irish, Scottish, and English traditional music through educational programs and workshops, public performances, and other similar efforts.  Donate or find out more at www.BluegrassHeritage.org.
