3rd Annual Harmony For Humanity  Daniel Pearl Music Day at The Lizard Lounge
Hosted by Dino Cattaneo
With a special solo set by Shun Ng

We celebrate the idea that music is a universal language that encourages fellowship with a unique event that brings musicians together in a collaborative fashion. We have a house band and singers from different styles and genres, and play our own interpretation of great covers.

House Band: Tony Savarino and the Savtones

Featured vocalists:
Susan Cattaneo, Brian Carroll, Patrick Coman, Catharine David, Munk Duane, Greg Klyma, Jenee Halstead, Catherine and John Kolodij from WORKING!, Felicia Taylor, Jimmy Ryan and more.

Shun Ng (pronounced: Shun ING) is a gifted guitarist, singer, and songwriter born in Chicago, raised in Singapore, now based out of Boston. He is an acclaimed international performer known for his unique style of guitar playing that infuses elements of Funk, Blues and Jazz.

Shun dazzles audiences with his finger-style technique and passionate groove. With vocals that are simultaneously expressive beyond his years and innocent all at the same time, Shun's one-man-band performance is a unique experience.

In a short time he is gaining passionate fans including the legendary Quincy Jones who when interviewed about Shun said,  "I was simply blown away by both his soul and his science  his creativity and his uniqueness is astounding.

"You won't believe your eyes nor your ears, he belies all stereotypes, all premenitions. I was simply blown away by both his soul and his science  his creativity and his uniqueness is astounding."
- Quincy Jones

"I was dazzled by his technique and captivated by his guitar grooves, then he started to sing and I fell in love with the angelic voice and lovely spirit of this young man who plays and sings beyond his years, yet with the innocence of a child. Shun's music has that special quality, the dream of all musicians, the natural ability to touch the heart of the listener."
- Tuck Andress (Tuck & Patti)

Daniel Pearl Music Days
Daniel Pearl World Music Days is an international network of concerts that use the power of music to reaffirm our commitment to tolerance and humanity. Since 2002, Daniel Pearl World Music Days has grown to include the participation of more than 11,900 performances in 132 countries. World Music Days is an awareness-raising program, not a fundraiser. There is no financial obligation to participate and all musicians are welcome.

Daniel Pearl World Music Days was created in response to the 2002 kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl at the hands of extremists in Karachi, Pakistan. Danny's family and friends came together to work towards a more humane world, forming the Daniel Pearl Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to promote cross-cultural understanding through journalism, music, and innovative communications.

Danny was a talented musician who joined musical groups in every community in which he lived, leaving behind a long trail of musician-friends spanning the entire world. Commemorating Danny's October 10th birthday, World Music Days uses the universal language of music to encourage fellowship across cultures and build a platform for "Harmony for Humanity."
