Avanti Guitar Trio - Baroque, Brazil, and Beyond
The Avanti Guitar Trio blends the fiery, emotive music of Brazillin composer's Laurindo Almeida, Paulo Bellinati, Juarez Moreira, and Sergio Assad with the sophisticated counterpoint and lyrical melodies of Antonio Vivaldi. Also featured on this program are compositions by American composers Benjamin Verdery, and Martha Horst. These pieces were written for and dedicated to the Avnati Guitar Trio. Many works performed in this concert are featured on the Avanti Guitar Trio newly released CD, Sylvan Winds.
