Songwriting Works Community Concert Celebration!
A community celebration of songs composed by elders and families on the Olympic Peninsula. Musicians include participants, local songwriter/performers Judith-Kate Friedman (project director), Matt Sircely, Keeth Monta Apgar, Paula Lalish, Anke Summerhill, and special guests Daniel Deardorff, Laurence Cole and the PT Songlines Choir. This event is the culminating concert for year-long Songwriting Works on the Olympic Peninsula (SWOP) project  composing songs in Jefferson and Clallam counties.  All proceeds will benefit SWOP's 2010 programs. The project is sponsored in conjunction with Arts Northwest with funding from the National Endownment for the Arts. Other project partners include: Olympic Area Agency on Aging, OlyCAP, the CARE Partnership, Critical Junctures Institute at Western Washington U, Dungeness Courte Dementia Care and others.  An event webpage is coming soon.
