Concerto in D Minor, BWV 596 transcribed by Bach after Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto grosso, opus 3/11, RV565
Trio Sonata in G Major, BWV 530
Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 538
Prelude and Fugue in E Minor, BWV 548
Acclaimed Polish organist Szymon Grab will open the festival with an Organ Recital on the Grand Schlicker Organ at All Saints Church. The Grand Schlicker Organ is ideally suited for the performance of Bach's organ works of Bach. Dr. Grab will delight the audience with a varied and colorful program, featuring a full spectrum of Bach's compositional styles and forms: Concerto in D Minor (transcribed by Bach after a concerto grosso by Vivaldi), Trio Sonata in G Major, chorale preludes, the cherished Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and -- arguably Bach's crown jewel of the major organ works Prelude and Fugue in E Minor (The "Wedge").
