Opus 7 performs "A Celebration of All Northwest Composers"
Our Fifteenth-Anniversary weekend celebration showcases the contribution to the Pacific Northwest by some of the Northwest's most prominent choral composers, as well as cultivating the next generation of choral music through winners of our Student Choral Composer Awards Program.
Featured pieces include a wide variety of works by several generations of Northwest composers, including Eric Banks, William Bergsma, William Bolcom, Ron Jeffers, Lorri Kristin Frogget, Mary Rhoads, Donald Skirvin, Joan Szymko, and Karen Thomas, as well as commissioned works by David Asplin, Stephen Cavit, Bern Herbolsheimer, Robert Scandrett, Michael Young, and Opus 7's composer-in-residence, John Muehleisen. Opus 7 is joined for this special occasion by cellist Page Smith, and pianist Clint Kraus.
Please join Opus 7 after the concert for a special reception celebrating the composers and Opus 7's Fifteenth-Anniversary Season.
