Maier Hall Concert Series: Onyx Chamber Players
Onyx Chamber Players combine a unique blend of early music performance style with the brilliance and virtuosity of modern instruments. Violinist James Garlick (a graduate of Port Angeles High School), cellist Meg Brennand and pianist David White perform with a transparency of sound and clarity of musical concept, peeling away much of the 20th century heaviness that has infused many readings of the traditional piano trio repertoire. Audiences and critics alike have hailed their musical energy, the exciting chemistry among the players and the musical intensity Onyx brings to their performances.
