SONGS ABOUT PARENTS AND CHILDREN
"Few singers captivate an audience as quickly and convincingly as McMillan can. He presents his repertoire with a beguilingly intimate approach all his own."  Jules Becker, New England Entertainment Digest

SONGS ABOUT PARENTS AND CHILDREN weaves together stories and songs  including "I Can't Give You Anything But Love" (from The Blackbirds of 1928), "William Wants a Doll" (from Free To Be You And Me), "Carefully Taught" (from South Pacific), "Plant A Radish" (from The Fantasticks), "Not While I'm Around" (from Sweeney Todd), and "Easier to Love" (from Baby) as well as pop songs such as "That's The Way I've Always Heard It Would Be" by Carly Simon and "The Circle Game" by Joni Mitchell.

Refreshments will be provided during intermission, and Third Life Studio has a wonderful Steinway grand piano!

"McMillan knows how to connect with an audience. His new show is a conceptual delight which had audiences enraptured The crowd left entertained and surely a bit warmer inside."  Joshua Shea, Innewsweekly

"By the end of the show audience members were wiping tears and clapping madly. Now that's amore."  Aiden Fitzgerald, Boston Herald

"Mr. McMillan's vocals are impeccable, and the show was a delightful evening that I will long remember."  Stu Hamstra, Cabaret Hotline Online

What People Are Saying

Will's singing moved the crowd to tears. He allowed us all to be together and go to that place in ourselves where we know who we are.  Michael Dowling, Medicine Wheel

Your spirit and humor and grace and love for the audience, your lyrical 'improvisations,' your narrative interludes  it was all pure fun and joy for me.  Alison Streit

It becomes a very sacred journey when you sing. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Will, for sharing your remarkable gifts and spirit.  Ann Marie Hayes

What a joy you were at Sculler's the other night! You have a way of touching people's lives in a special way, both personally and musically.  Gretje Ferguson

Some people are so busy trying to sing every note perfectly that they lose sight of the lyrics. I prefer those, like you, who put the lyrics first. Great job!  Ernie LiJoi

Your performances make me walk away with a wonderful feeling inside.  Arngod Webb

Thank you for one of the most spiritual musical evenings I have ever enjoyed.  Beth Hayward, Star Island

Do us all a favor and stop hiding your light under a bushel!  Marlin Lavanhar
