Nonprofit Law: What You Need To Know To Run A Nonprofit (SPOKANE)
This training will give nonprofit leaders and attorneys representing nonprofits an overview of the legal requirements of running a tax-exempt nonprofit. We will cover Federal law that governs 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofits and Washington State law that governs all nonprofits in Washington.
In addition, we will cover basic employment law for nonprofits. The employment law topics we will cover include working with volunteers, exempt vs. non-exempt employees, and the legal differences between employees and independent contractors.
