In this vibrant and touching coming-of-age tale, three young Native Americansa feisty father-to-be, an adopted Christian woman, and a two-spirit transwomanall strive to escape the hardships of life on a New Mexico Navajo reservation. These three lives soon intersect with surprising results. Felixia, a two-spirit transwoman who is very proud of her culture and traditions, hopes to qualify as a pinup for the "Women of the Navajo" calendar. Her grandfather, a medicine man, draws on tribal lore of the Nadleeh, or "third gender," to understand her role in the world. Drunktown's Finest is a refreshingly unique view of an often-overlooked culture. Stars Jeremiah Bitsui (Natural Born Killers, Victor in Breaking Bad) as the father-to-be.
