Captain Smartypants with Sensible Shoes in Concert!
Open Space For Arts & Community on Vashon Island presents Captain Smartypants and Sensible Shoes.
Captain Smartypants has performed all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond, thrilling, delighting and alarming audiences from Washington DC to San Francisco. This vocal ensemble has shared the stage with such luminaries as Nell Carter, Megan Mullally, Lea Delaria, Rosemary Clooney, Kristin Chenoweth and, of course, Seattle Men's Chorus. Their stylistic range includes swing, doo-wop, pop covers, Motown, technopop, barbershop, and pretty much anything else they can get away with.
Sensible Shoes, an ensemble of Seattle Women's Chorus, is a pop and vocal jazz group in the tradition of groups like Captain Smartypants and Emerald City Volunteers. This group of women balance great vocal delivery with fun, innovative staging.
