Designers everywhere are looking at WordPress. Whether they use it for their own site, or for their clients, designers love the ease of the WordPress content management system.

But with all the options for themes and plugins out there, how can you possibly know where to start or what will work best?

In his 20 years of experience as a graphic designer, Bob had a front row seat to the transition from print to web to WordPress. He'll share the best ways to make the website design process as painless as possible. From his extensive work with causal users, Bob knows that Wordpress isn't always the easiest thing to learn.

Deciding which theme to use for your own or a client's site

Differences between out-of-the-box themes, frameworks and drag-and-drop

Bob and his wife Judy owned Cat's Eye Marketing for 20 years, where they provided graphic design, marketing and copywriting for small to medium-sized businesses.

In 2007, Bob discovered WordPress and a year later brought it in as a tool for client projects. Because he has taught over 150 local workshops on WordPress and blogging, spoken at numerous conferences and WordCamps, and taught  thousands of users in person and online, Bob understands the pain points when it comes to wrapping your brain around WordPress.

Bob is a full-time WordPress trainer and the teacher behind his membership site, BobWP Tutorials. He lives with Judy on a small island in south Puget Sound.


How to find us:

Free parking available in front of the Atrium Building and on the street.

There are two buildings in the Seattle Design Center, the Atrium Building to the south and the Plaza Building to the north.

Enter through the Plaza Building on S. Orcas between 5th S. & 6th S. Take the elevator to the first floor then the stairs or glass elevator to the second floor to Suite 292.

Or enter through the Atrium Building. Take the second floor sky bridge to the Plaza building. Take stairs or glass elevator to second floor EAFA Gallery, suite 292.

Brown bag it or catch lunch at Molly's in the Atrium Building.
