Zeus with The Penny Arcade
Toronto-based indie-rockers, Zeus came together in 2005 as the backing band for Broken Social Scene member, Jason Collett. It wasn't until 2009 that they became a proper band of their own, releasing their debut, 'Sounds Like Zeus' on Arts & Crafts. Their new record, 'Classic Zeus' draws on all things fun, funky and sunny, melding 60's psychedelica, Beatles-y bubble gum pop, southern soul and a contemporary spark into a sound entirely of their own.
The Penny Arcade, the chamber-pop project of Portland stalwart, Scott Mohler (of The Lucid & Sha, Sha, Sha) opens the evening.
