Festival of New Trumpet Music 2014: American Brass Quintet plus Practical Trumpet Society
FONT is proud to announce it's 2014 Award of Recognition to Raymond Mase, founding member of the American Brass Quintet and who was involved in commissioning and introducing many of America's best modern works for brass quintet. In celebration of this award, the American Brass Quintet will be performing works by Gunther Schuller, David Sampson and a world premiere of John Zorn's In Excelsis for large brass ensemble. Opening this evening's concert will be NYC's own Practical Trumpet Society premiering new works by Gareth Flowers, Stephanie Richards and Zorn's recently composed Fanfare for the Great Hall.
