Songs of joy, faith, patriotism and praise have always been a significant part of our national heritage, beginning with the first colonists, expanding through the indomitable spirit of the slaves, and today permeating our culture at every level. The Durango Choral Society will take you on an American journey as we "raise the roof" with familiar and fresh settings of colonial hymns, gospel tunes and spirituals composed and arranged by such musical patriots as William Billings, Robert Shaw and Moses Hogan.
