The District Band presented by Footloose
The District Band plays standard jazz, South African tunes and originals in their own special style. Churning, funky rhythms from Andy Scott's drums and Ray Schaeffer's bass push Keith Cudaback on keyboards/trumpet and Tom Solinger on electric violin into their crazy harmonies and solos. The band creates a whirling pastiche of great sounds with unexpected twists, yet with a beat you can move and groove to!
The first hour-long set starts at 8:000 pm and showcases the band's arranged and "deranged" material for your listening pleasure. The second set will feature very danceable grooves to get folks up and movin' on Shotwell Studio's large dance floor.
