Well...we are honoured to bring you another night of magnificent music! In partnership with the venerable Northern Star Records, we present the inaugural night of 'Live Revolution', the first in a series of ongoing gigs around the country with great promoters and bands, putting on the highest quality music for you delectation!

For this first night, we have the mighty Kontakte, Who will be celebrating the release of their latest album - These Machines - on the night!

Conceived in 2005 from a string of old 4-track demos and further realized via a labyrinth of digital workstations and computer software, Kontakte emerged in early 2006. The concept was to blend organic instrumentation within an electronic and hypnotic framework of programmed beats and pulsing synths. Inspired by the walls of sound of bands like Godspeed You Black Emperor and Mogwai, Kontakte's other main passions were the ambient sounds of Brian Eno, mid-late 70's German electronica and the early 90's shoegaze scene. Taking elements from all of these things, Kontakte have endeavoured to create a sound that is uniquely and deservedly their own.

Having released two albums to date - 'We Move Through Negative Spaces' (2011) & 'Soundtracks To Lost Road Movies' (2008) plus the already SOLD OUT Limited Edition EP Superbug (2010) and two early 7" vinyl singles - Kontakte continue to deliver on their initial promise of their own brand of 'hypnotic, textural, cinematic noise'.

Kontakte have been remixed by such luminaries as Tim Holmes of Death In Vegas, Chris Olley of Six. By Seven, Clem Leek, Winterlight, A Dancing Beggar, Russel.M.Harmon and labelmates Oppressed By The Line & Matt Bartram.
An appearance on the Northern Star Records compilation series 'Revolution In Sound' continued in 2011.
The Kontakte live experience is a blistering wall of guitar noise with shimmering electronics and ethereal melodies a band to savour. Kontakte have toured the UK and Germany, headlined the Feedback Fever Festival in Hamburg and consistently play intense live shows, including two magnificent sets earlier in the year for us!

Before them, we are thrilled and delighted to have the hugely talented François Sky and guests!

François has been making music for as long as he can remember. Originally from France, but now based in Berlin, he takes his musical influences from a whole variety of people, including Jimi Hendrix, Scott McKenzie, "Magical Mystery Tour", "Taking Woodstock" ost, The Kinks, The Byrds, Leonard Cohen, early Johnny Cash, The Cure mainly "Pornography" era, Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, Front 242, The Cramps, Can, Spacemen 3 / Spectrum / The Darkside, 13th floor Elevators, V.U, Toots and the Maytals, James Brown, The Electric Prunes, Bootsy Collins, Otis Redding, eponymous Black Sabbath, Echo & The Bunnymen, and French photographer Richard Bellia, (think about him like a John Peel on camera), his family, his roots and his beliefs.

First up are the magnificent 93MillionMilesFromTheSun! The Doncaster based shoegaze legends have a reputation of delivering blistering live shows which more than match the superb quality of their album releases, and with new drummer Jase Burns making them a 3 piece, the beautiful noise is being unleashed in all it's sonic fury!

With DJ sets bringing you top quality tunes throughout as well, this is an event not to be missed!
