Dedicated to Haydn (Palo Alto Sunday Concert)
Over a dozen sets of quartets were dedicated to Haydn during his lifetime, most famously Mozart's Haydn Quartets. We begin a new series featuring selections from these compositions, including on this concert Mozart's Quartet in G, K. 387 and Pleyel's Quartet in g, Op. 2, No. 3
