Butoh Basics
Hedwig Dances presents Butoh Basics, taught by Nicole LeGette, an introductory class series examining the unique qualities that characterize butoh dance. Each class will address a different aspect of butoh training including the use of imagery; the body as material; space as energy, time and breath; presence derived from activating the visible and invisible; expanded dynamic range and multi-sensory sensitivity; among othe topics. This class is open to
everyone with or without dance experience and is appropriate for anyone wishing to enrich their daily experience through creative embodiment.
