Gallery Suite Jazz Series - August
Welcome to Season II of the Gallery Suite Jazz Series.
Experience a unique, intimate music showcase in a hip, urban, raw studio space hosted by International recording artist and saxophonist Phil Denny. You and your guest(s) can expect the finest level of artistry from musical talents from around the state, bordering states and Canada with an emphasis on diversion though pure musical entertainment. With a limited seating capacity, those present will feel as though the music is being performed just for them. Open wood ceilings, hardwood floors and exposed brick walls create the ideal backdrop for a night of lively entertainment.
This months featured artist is UK based keyboardist/producer Oli Silk. Oli's abilities as a keyboardist have made him the UK's 'go to' guy, playing for the likes of Boney James, Peter White, Chuck Loeb, Rick Braun, Gerald Albright, Mindi Abair, Dave Koz, Marc Antoine, Paul Brown and many more. He remains one of the most unique and exciting young artists in the genre both as a music director and solo artist. We are very fortunate to have Oli here in the USA to perform for us in such an intimate setting. Learn more about this internationally recognized artist at http://olisilk.com.
The gallery suite doors will open at 6:00pm this month to accommodate our early show. If you are attending the late show, please arrive at 8:30pm. Guests are welcome and encouraged to stroll the gallery prior to the show to view the artwork, decorative textures, custom finishes, exclusive furniture and more.
The early show will begin promptly at 7:00pm. The late show will begin promptly at 9:15pm. Showtimes are 75 minutes.
CASH BAR AVAILABLE! The cash bar (beer & wine) option is made available by the Entrepreneur Institute (A non-profit organization.) Select wines are provided by Burgdorf's Winery of Haslett.
The Knight Cap restaurant will be on sight offering $5 small plate options (cash only) for those who choose to indulge. Menu to be determined. Also, following the 9:00pm performance is a proper hang at The Exchange (balcony level) just doors down from the gallery.
Entry to the gallery suite is located in the back of the gallery (south) just off Museum Drive. THE GSJS IS AN OPEN SEATING FORMAT. Parties of four however, will be assigned a table. If your group is larger than four seats, we will do our best to ensure your tables are near to each other. Group table placement is based on the order transaction date.
