Portland, OR Portland Vocal Consort, a professional choral ensemble, will present a commemorative concert celebrating the anniversaries of the deaths of two of the greatest composers of all time, G. F. Handel (d. 1759) and F. J. Haydn (d. 1809). We will be collaborating for the first time with Rose City Chamber Orchestra to combine the majesty of the voice with instrumentation while performing Handel's Dixit Dominus. the Pacific University Chamber Choir will join us, and the orchestra, for Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass. This will be the first time that audiences will have the opportunity to hear the combined forces of a university choir, a chamber orchestra, and a professional choir in such an important classical works.
