The Steel Wheels/ Caleb Klauder Country Band
Join us for an evening of American Roots music as Virginia bluegrass band The Steel Wheels pays their first visit to Southern Oregon. Joining them in this double bill is Portland's own Caleb Klauder Country Band.
The Steel Wheels have captured audiences across the country with their heady brew of original soulful mountain music. This dynamic four piece string band marries old time musical traditions with their own innovative sound and lifestyle, generating a truly magnetic revival.
The band is renowned for their raw energy and chemistry on stage, where they often cluster around a single mic to adorn Tom Wagler's unmistakable tenor, with bell clear four part harmonies. Add to this the fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass stylings of the other group members and its no surprise that The Steel Wheels have enthralled the contemporary Americana scene.
Imagine you're driving on Route 66 in the late 1950's somewhere in Texas. You feel the need for a tall cold one and want to hear some good country music. As you pull off the road into the parking lot of a honky tonk, the music you hear coming from inside puts a smile on your face. That musical sound is what you'll hear when the Caleb Klauder Country Band takes the stage. For over 15 years, Caleb and his band have musically channeled George Jones, The Louvin Brothers, Dolly Parton, and others both in their original material and in their covers of these amazing American artists.
If you'd like to party down to an evening of joyful, soulful country and bluegrass, you won't want to miss this fall evening concert.
