The Innovation Summit is the premier Greater St. Cloud event celebrating innovation in our community.

Expo-loration. As you arrive for the morning, check out interactive exhibits showcasing exciting innovative solutions, processes and technologies leveraged by area businesses, organizations and govenmental units.

I-Awards.
Nonprofit sector. The Center for Nonprofit Excellence and Social Innovation (CNESI) created the I-Awards to recognize and celebrate innovation and creativity in the nonprofit sector of Central Minnesota. Our definition of innovation is: "A novel solution to a social problem that is more effective, efficient, sustainable, or just, than existing solutions and for which the value created accrues primarily to society as a whole rather than private individuals."

For profit sector. CNESI's Major Sponsor for the Innovation Summit, the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation (GSDC), is a nonprofit collaboration of approximately 100 regional public and private organizations in Central Minnesota. A major strategic focus of GSDC is to foster and promote innovative thinking among area businesses. The GSDC presents an annual Innovation Award to for-profit organizations, which recognizes St. Cloud area for-profit organizations employing innovation to solve problems and create opportunities.

Keynote: Aaron Hurst
Come hear from Aaron Hurst, visionary author of The Purpose Economy, on how to position the St. Cloud region as a hub for a Purpose Economy.

Aaron Hurst is a globally recognized entrepreneur who works to create communities that are empowered to realize their potential. He is the CEO of Imperative, a technology platform that enables people to discover, connect and act on what gives them purpose in their work. Aaron is a close advisor to many global brands and frequent speaker and writer on the development of the Purpose Economy.

He is the founder and an active advisor to the Taproot Foundation where he was the catalyst and lead architect of the $15 billion pro bono service market. He was the creative force behind the conception of the national Billion + Change campaign.

Panel
Aaron will facilitate a discussion with representatives of a variety of sectors - for-profit, nonprofit, education, government, the arts - on HOW they have successfully foster innovation in their organizations.
