You can go anywhere if you can read a map. Teenage Michael lives a dead-end life with his mother in a small town in New Zealand. To escape, he wraps himself in a world of maps, dreaming of travel. Into his life come two young women: Mary, blind since birth, but keenly aware of her effect on the boys in the neighborhood; and Alison, a friend from school with unhappy secrets. As his life begins to hurtle out of control, he must decide where he truly wants life to take him. Harold Brodies feature debut is a haunting tale of youth.
