Join us for the premiere screening of SWEET, a film with a conscience on August 7, 2014 at The Natural Gourmet Institute in Manhattan. The screening of this short documentary will include a Q/A with the filmmaker Andrew Rothschild and CBP founders Adam Aronovitz and Alissa Bilfield.
Following the film there will be a healthy Indian sweets demo accompanied by homemade Ayurvedic Chai.
The film showcases CBP's innovative food entrepreneurship work with a group of young women rescued from human trafficking at Odanadi Seva Trust in Mysore, India.
As Cookbook Project Food Entrepreneurs, these amazing young women have worked together with the support of CBP to create a groundbreaking healthy sweets business using plant-based recipes that provides alternative traditional sweets for a community at high risk type-2 diabetes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be two screenings, one at 6pm and one at 8pm so be sure to choose the screening you'd from the drop down menu to the LEFT of the ticketing options below.
