The 2014 Mushroom, Wine & Beer Train takes place on Saturday, November 8 from approximately 9AM to 5:30PM, and benefits the Mendocino County Museum. Historic Skunk Train engines leave from the Willits & Fort Bragg Depots, with the event taking place at Camp Mendocino in the heart of the redwoods of Jackson State Forest.
Guests enjoy mushroom dishes prepared by local chefs, a cook-off contest judged by media celebrity guests, locally crafted beer and wine, mushroom walks, talks, music and more. This year, a barbeque will accompany the Mushroom, Wine, and Beer tastings for lunch. Steve Bates is the featured musician. Eric Schram will lead his popular mushroom walks. We'll also have a tent in case of inclement weather. (Recent rains >>> more mushrooms!)
The 2014 Mushroom, Wine & Beer Train is the signature event for Visit Mendocino County's 15th Annual Mushroom, Wine & Beer Festival, which runs from November 7-16, 2014.
Proceeds from the train event support the Mendocino County Museum's mission to collect, conserve, present and celebrate the stories, artifacts, and lives of the people and places of Mendocino County.
TICKETS FOR THE FORT BRAGG DEPOT DEPARTURE ARE NOW SOLD OUT. We have a Fort Bragg waiting list in case of cancellations - please call us at 707-459-2736.
TICKETS FOR THE WILLITS DEPOT DEPARTURE ARE NEARLY GONE NOW. We are selling the last tickets over the phone at the Museum so we don't inadvertently oversell. Please call right away at 707-459-2736 to purchase tickets (or to go on a waiting list once sold out).
