Radio 9, I Am Lono & Blonde Bunny
We have another superb night of music lined up for you!
Headlining the night we are delighted to welcome from Norway, Radio 9!
Radio 9 is a collective that plays electronic music with real drums, guitar and bass and vocals. Think energetic, melodic Krautpop. Varying from hypnotic, mellifluous atmospherics to frenzied postpunk whiteouts, the band frequently improvise live in extended rhythmic jams. Previously based in London, but now relocated to Oslo, the band have worked with Paul Epworth and Gareth Jones. The band have an album, 'Endless Streams of Light' on Oblong and are about to release a 4-track EP on the UK label, WLM.
Support comes in the shape of I Am Lono. The Nottingham based duo mix heavy synth sounds with a variety of guitar sounds, from subtle to almost fuzz induced sonic assault, to bring a sound that gives a nod back to the early post punk synth bands of the 80's, with their own modern take. A scintillating live band!
Opening the night we welcome back Blonde Bunny. This Peterborough based 5 piece have opened some eyes and ears over the last few months - including ours - with their mix of psychedelic riffs, trippy synth sound and original vocal style, we reckon they'll get your interest too!
With a Goodsoul DJ set as well, this is going to be a other brilliant night of music that you won't want to miss!
