Ellis Paul
Ellis Paul's songs wed striking poetic imagery and phiosophical introspection with hook-laden melodies., The Boston Globe calls his music "literate, provocative, urbanley romantic." He's also carrying on the torch of Woody Guthrie, and has been made an honorary citizen of Woody's hometown, Okemah, Oklahoma in recognition of the way he has championed Woody's music and ideals. He'll be coming to Lawrence with a brand new CD, "The Day After Everything Changed."
