Cheryl Wheeler
Cheryl Wheeler is two artists in one. She's a writer and singer of beautiful, intelligent, poetic ballads. And she's also a hysterically funny woman whose stories and improvised asides leave her audiences in stitches. She retunrs to Lawrence, Kansas with her first new CD in four years, "Pointing at the Sun." A testament to her songwriting ability: her songs have been covered by such artists as Dan Seals, Peter Paul & Mary, Kenny Loggins, Garth Brooks, Suzy Bogguss, Bette Midler, Maura O'Connell, Kathy Mattea and Holly Near.
