Anna Blair Cabaret - Inside Story: Celebrating the Lyrics of Fran Landesman
Anna Blair continues her impressive cabaret career with a two-night show inspired by her life-changing experience performing with the legendary Fran Landesman in October 2008.
The show features Musical Director Joe Dreyer, who accompanied Anna and Fran when Cabaret St. Louis brought Fran to the Gaslight Theater last October. Carolbeth True will be Anna's guest pianist for the Friday show.
Doors open at 6:30pm both nights for dinner and cocktails. Dinner reservations (highly recommended as it fills up fast) can be made by calling The Bistro (314-534-3663).
Our Community Partner for the event is The Kids Clubhouse (www.kidsclubhouse.org), which will receive a portion of ticket sales.

Annas background in musical theatre has made the transition into cabaret quite natural. She has studied under cabaret luminaries Amanda McBroom (the genius behind The Rose), Lina Koutrakos, Steve Ross and St. Louis cabaret artist, Tim Schall. Anna captivated the audience at the St. Louis Cabaret Conference alumni show in August 2008.
Her breakout performance came in October 2008 when Anna shared the stage with the renowned Fran Landesman in a four-night run at The Gaslight Theater. Her solo debut was a tremendous success in February, 2009 and included an encore performance in April.
"Inside Story" will showcase Landesmans songs, some of which Anna performed with Fran, including her most well-known, "Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most."
