Ted Allen Quintet with the Incendiary Cycle
Horns & percussion!
Ted Allen, an Oakland music teacher, along with fellow music teachers Zack Pitts-Smith and Daniel Andrade, team up with former students Sean Michael Norris and Isaac Schwartz for 4 horns and drums. They will play "The Incendiary Cycle" - music about California. Borrowing from free jazz, minimalism, no wave, and black metal, the music of "The Incendiary Cycle" is dynamic and energetic, sometimes evolving gradually, sometimes changing dramatically in a sudden tectonic displacement.
